Adobe Systems Inc. has announced its final decision to acquire Macromedia Inc., the maker of FreeHand and Flash, for 3.4 billion dollars.

The Ukrainian magazine "My Computer" has published an article on Scribus, the page layout program for Linux. The short verdict: colour separation — yes; TIFF and EPS support — yes; Russian hyphenation — yes; working with Russian text — not yet possible.
