Adobe PageMaker 7.0

Adobe has presented the next version of its hugely popular page layout system, PageMaker 7.0. Sales of Adobe PageMaker 7.0 start this summer. The package will cost $499; an upgrade from the previous version will cost users $79.

Among the new features of version seven are a much longer list of supported formats and the ability to create PDF documents. Adobe also promises to improve the already excellent integration with its other products, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, and to refine the import of files created in the competing products Microsoft Publisher and QuarkXPress.

Adobe PageMaker 7.0 will ship for MAC OS 8.6, MAC OS 9.1, MAC OS X, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 5 or 6), Windows 2000 and Windows ME.
